TimeStitch: Local community and digital donations
2:30 PM - 3:00 PMFull Abstract
This presentation will give an update on the progress of the TimeStitch, an interactive database that functions as a museum management software with some exciting additions. These include the ability to use the database as a tool for creating online exhibitions. Now in its 2nd year, TimeStitch is being developed for use of general public and local museums. The presentation will explain the advancement and challenges of phase two of the project: including a crowdsourcing platform and adding a 3D VR component. We will have three people present at the conference to talk about the project from 3 different viewpoints: Art Historian/Project lead that has very little IT knowledge, a Student who had heavily involved in the several stages of the project this year (Art History major), and an IT specialist who had to understand our requirements and work with us to develop the database.
