This presentation will propose an approach to designing learning outcomes, instructions, learning activities/assignments, and rubrics that align with each other. Participants will consider a Socratic method applied to each step of guiding students through the learning process, in order to expose opportunities for revision. Clarity, salience, and consistency in online instructional design are the aim of this process. We will look at design strategies and resources (Bb Learn, OSCQR, Open SUNY resources) that can help us in this effort.
