FACT2 Adaptive Learning Task Group Report
9:30 AM - 10:00 AMFull Abstract
The FACT2 Adaptive Learning Task Group was created during the Fall 2018 semester. This committee consists of 17 representatives from 13 campuses and SUNY Central Administration. This goals of this task group were to: increase awareness of adaptive learning approaches, encourage the consideration of effective implementations of adaptive learning approaches, provide recommendations regarding the adoption of adaptive learning approaches, and to provide resources to assist campuses in adopting adaptive learning.
During the 2018-19 academic year, this task group has gathered information on the use of adaptive learning platforms both within SUNY and the wider academic community. It has examined studies of the efficacy of adaptive learning solutions and generated a report containing recommendations and considerations for those campuses wishing to more extensively use adaptive learning systems.
In this session, representatives of the task group will describe the resources created by the task group and the overall progress toward these goals. Attendees will be given an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback/input.
