Digital Badges and Other Ways to Document Faculty Development Activities
How is your campus helping instructors document and communicate about what they learn in your programs? In this webinar, you will learn about how digital badges can be utilized to assist faculty with navigating their professional development path. Participants are also encouraged to come to the webinar willing to share other methods they have used to help faculty document their professional learning. 

Presenters

cmorrealeChris Price is the Academic Programs Manager for the SUNY Center for Professional Development. Prior to his current position, he was Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) at The College at Brockport, State University of New York until 2017. He started working at Brockport after receiving his PhD in Political Science from the University at Albany in 2004. Chris is still an instructor for Brockport’s Master and Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies programs. Teaching and learning workshops he has conducted include discussion-based teaching, communicating effectively with students, collaborative learning, academic integrity, teaching with technology, and using critical reflection to improve teaching and learning. In 2013, Chris received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service. He served on the Teaching Professor Conference Advisory Board from 2013-2015. Chris lives in Rochester, New York with his spouse Jessica Marten and his children Lucy and Henry.


lsturgesRoberta (Robin) Sullivan is an Online Learning & Innovative Instruction Specialist for the Center for Educational Innovation at the University at Buffalo. Her role involves the development and implementation of online learning initiatives and she encourages faculty and staff to explore and reflect on the use of emerging technology tools to expand tech-infused pedagogy. Sullivan leads SUNYs Exploring Emerging Technologies for Lifelong Learning and Success (#EmTechMOOC), a global learning opportunity to create 21st century citizens equipped for today's technology-driven society ( http://suny.edu/emtech ) and the Tools of Engagement Project (TOEP): On-demand Discovery Learning Professional Development. Sullivan has been recognized through a SUNY Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology (FACT2) Excellence in Instructional Support award, two Open SUNY Effective Practice Awards, and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
