Decision Making- Know Your Direction
3:15 PM - 3:45 PMFull Abstract
Decision Making: Know Your Direction.
Students are confronted with the complex decisions of what to major in and what career path to follow. Choosing a career is one of the most important , exciting and confusing challenges in life. The path can be filled with missteps and wrong turns. For many, the straight line to success is rare because of the many twists and turns we experience before finding the right direction.
The goal of this workshop is to provide guidance in how to help students navigate the decision-making process and to dispel some of the common myths associated with decision making. The major model presented is adapted from the work of Chip and Dan Health from their groundbreaking book Decisive- How to make better choices in life and work.
