DEISJ in General Education

This track focuses on creating, implementing, and assessing courses designated as DEISJ in General Education Programs on SUNY campuses. Topics include, but are not limited to, content development, learning outcomes, assessment (course and as part of GE program), DEISJ beyond Liberal Arts and Sciences disciplines, campus infrastructure to support faculty teaching DEISJ courses and build content expertise, crucial conversations about DEISJ  requirement across the campus. 

DEISJ across the Curriculum (undergraduate and graduate)

This track focuses on integration of DEISJ content across the disciplines, beyond General Education. Topics include, but are not limited to, major area and graduate coursework in Health and other Professions, STEM, Applied, and Occupational programs, DEISJ in International Education (International Programs, Study Abroad, and international students and scholars), curriculum assessment (as part of program and institutional assessment).

DEISJ Pedagogy

This track focuses on a variety of pedagogical practices related to teaching and learning DEISJ content. Topics include, but are not limited to, scholarship on pedagogy related to DEISJ, difficult conversations in the classroom and with colleagues, challenges to academic freedom, DEISJ and accessibility, DEISJ in online and remote learning, and DEISJ in applied/experiential learning.
