The discussion tool, Packback, is currently being used by faculty throughout SUNY to improve student engagement and critical thinking in online discussions. As a result of strong SUNY faculty and student satisfaction, SUNY has partnered with Packback through a Master Service Agreement that provides a variety of pathways for institutional and faculty adoption.
Packback is an AI-supported discussion tool that is designed to encourage students to think critically and more deeply engage in course topics when working on discussions. It includes many features such as real-time feedback and coaching to students, plagiarism detection, and curiosity points, and learner leaderboards meant to encourage participation and improvement.
Learn more about Packback by watching this video or reading this whitepaper on creating a more inclusive and engaging classroom.
We are partnering with Packback to bring you information sessions. This session will cover both the basics of the Packback platform and A.I., best practices for implementation, as well as the different pathways for adoption by institutions and faculty. For example, faculty teaching SUNY Online courses can use Packback at no cost.
