What is the difference between Instructional AI vs. Generative AI?

Generative AI had its viral break at the end of 2022 with the introduction of ChatGPT. We invite you to attend this SUNY CPD workshop alongside our partners at Packback to learn more about this new technology and the resources available best support your students and ensure authentic student work.Packback is a writing platform designed to develop student original thought and develop the writing process to enable students to submit their best, authentic work while lowering the grading burden on faculty and allowing faculty to focus on the content. Attendees will walk away with:
- A better understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) such as ChatGPT
- The difference between Instructional AI and Generative AI
- How to best support student writing using the Packback writing tools within D2L
- The first look at Packback's new public suite of tools that makes ChatGPT and other AI-writing tools into an instructor superpower.
