Proposal Submission information

Presentation Tracks: 

We invite proposals for presentations and panel discussions that explore the following tracks:  

  • OER Implementation, Adoption and Assessment: 
    • Strategies for integrating OER into curriculum design and instruction 
    • Successful models and case studies of OER adoption at different educational levels 
  • Impact of OER and Affordable Learning Initiatives: 
    • Reporting and using OER data, as well as low-cost or no-cost alternatives 
    • Assessing the impact and effectiveness of OER and Affordable Learning Initiatives on student learning outcomes 
  • OER Institutional Support and Sustainability: 
    • Policy frameworks and initiatives supporting the use of OER 
    • Developing institutional strategies for OER implementation and sustainability 
    • Building communities of practice and fostering collaboration around OER 
  • Open Education and Open Pedagogy: 
    • Engaging students and their role in open education
    • Redefining teaching and learning using open methods
    • Using Open Science and Open Data
  • Future Directions and Challenges:  
    • Emerging trends in OER and tech, including AI
    • Opportunities as innovation and growth in the OER landscape
    • OER as a tool for reducing educational disparities, for building equitable and inclusive communities 

Types of Presentations: 

  • Classic Presentations – 45-minute presentation, generally 30-minute presentation with 15-minute Q&A.
  • Interactive Demo/Guided Discussions – 60 minutes, involves active collaboration and discovery with the audience.  
  • Lightning Round – 7 minutes per topic. Have something quick and meaningful to share? Each presenter will have 7 minutes to showcase a tip, share an idea, or give a brief orientation to their topic.
