Presentation Description

Traditional teaching pedagogy involved stringent lectures followed by formative and summative assessments. Research shows that only 50% of students are able to think and learn in this manner. What if we met student where they were? What if we learned to teach, the way that they learn?

Digital content creation can be available tool for both faculty and students. Using differentiated instruction as a pedagogical strategy, students and faculty are challenge to create materials that ignite learning. This session will focus on teaching faculty how to create innovate materials for learning that enhances traditional teaching pedagogy and helps all students to learn in a manner that be suits their needs.

Partipants will:
1. Differentiate pedagogical strategies that can be up-leveled in the classroom using technological innovations.
2. Explore digital content creation as an impetus for active learning.
3. Articulate at least three device agnostic tools that can be used for digital content creation in higher education.

Devices will be available to allow faculty and participants to engage in the tools for the session.
