Jessica O’Reilly is an Instructional Developer in Cambrian College’s Teaching and Learning Innovation Hub, providing professional development, support, and instructional design services to Cambrian College faculty. She is in the process of completing a Doctor of Distance Learning degree through Athabasca University, and currently holds MEd and MA degrees in Curriculum Design and Literatures of Modernity. Just finishing up an Open Education Fellowship with eCampus Ontario, Jessica remains active in Ontario’s Open Educator community and is actively incorporating the ethos of open in her teaching and learning practices. Cheryl Belford is a lecturer in the Transportation Engineering Programme in the Department of Civil Engineering at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Cape Town. She lectures in the field of Transportation in both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supervises student’s research at degree and masters level. Her research interests lie in the effect of changing mobility practices on the everyday life of South African commuters. She is also committed to ensuring a robust academic experience for the next generation of Civil Technologists. Her pedagogy has shifted toward open practice and student generated content toward achieving graduate attributes. These academic practices encourages peer to peer learning among students and empowers her academic identity. As Director of Open Teaching and Learning for SUNY OER Services, Alexis Clifton works with State University of New York (SUNY) institutions to establish, support, and expand their OER programs. She helps to identify each institution’s goals for open education, as well as to foster collaboration between campuses to expand options for effective open practices. Glenda Cox is a senior lecturer in the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching at the University of Cape Town. Her portfolio includes Curriculum projects, Teaching with Technology innovation grants, Open Education Resources and Staff development. She has recently completed her PhD in Education and her research focused on using the theoretical approach of Social Realism to explain why academic staff choose to contribute or not to contribute their teaching resources as open educational resources.She is passionate about the role of Open Education in the changing world of Higher Education. Dr Glenda Cox is currently the Principle Investigator in the Digital Open Textbooks for Development (DOT4D) project, funded by the Canadian International Development Research Centre (IDRC). John Hilton III was born in San Francisco and grew up in Seattle. He served a mission in Denver, and got a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. While there he met his wife Lani and they have six children. They have lived in Nyssa, Oregon, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Miami, Florida, Jerusalem and China. Currently, they live in Utah. John has a Masters degree from Harvard and a Ph.D from BYU, both in Education. John is a Professor of Religious Education at BYU.
