Setting the Tone

This session will look at examples of preparing and designing a class for inclusive student connection prior to and at the start of a course. We will view and discuss successful examples from a SUNY colleague.
Format of Session
- Welcome, quick recap, and introduction of presenter
- Presentation of examples of inclusive:
- Syllabus ~ Class agreements ~ Welcoming videos ~ Interactive session ~ Icebreakers
- Q&A, Sharing
- Invitation to remaining sessions, review any archived sessions, and to SUNY CIT workshop in May
Goal of Session
- Share examples of successful inclusive design
- Ignite self-reflection and discovery of personal success
