Presentation Information

SUNY Graduate Students in all academic fields are invited to contribute to the 2023 SUNY Graduate Research Conference (GRC) as panelists or other poster presenters. 

Eligibility: 

Eligible students must be enrolled in a SUNY graduate program under the mentorship of a SUNY faculty member. Students are encouraged to submit proposals to present their original research or creative activity. Available formats are a 5–10-minute panelist presentation or a 1–hour poster presentation. 

Registration and panel presentation slots will be limited. Panelist and poster presentations will be determined by a peer-review process. If you have questions, please contact GRC@SUNY.edu


Big Ideas Cross Disciplinary Panels: 
  1. What was the physico-chemical origin of life? 
  2. Energy Sources: Which are the most sustainable for the next generation? 
  3. How should we understand and address gender based violence around the world? 
  4. How has Artificial Intelligence positively impacted society and what more can it do for the common good?

Proposal Submission Information

Please have the following information available when submitting your presentation proposal:
  • Primary presenter name, e-mail address, phone number, college/university, academic field
  • Faculty mentor name, college/university and e-mail address
  • Presentation title, proposal (200-300 words)
  • Panel applied to / Poster.
Proposals should clearly and concisely:
  • Identify the central research question, objective, or thesis of the project
  • Summarize the methodology and/or findings of the research or creative work
  • State conclusions, significance, and/or current state of the project
Proposal Format:
  • Titles should be bolded, short and specific, and in mixed UPPER and lower case letters
  • Use 12-point Times New Roman font
Proposal should be 200-300 words
  • Include plain text only - DO NOT include tables, charts, pictures, foreign characters, or scientific symbols
  • The title and proposal will appear in the conference program exactly as inputted, so double check spelling, punctuation, and clarity of prose
