Information for Poster Presenters

Once you've been accepted and registered for a Poster Presentation, what's next? The following information is designed for Poster Presentations to help you prepare for your session on OnAir.

When will you receive login details for OnAir?

  • Approximately 2 weeks before the Conference/Event starts, you will receive login details to the portal, and an invitation to Training Sessions with a member of the CPD Team.
  • Please note: We highly encourage all presenters to attend a Training Session with a CPD Member. These training sessions are a great way to view, practice and gain a better understanding of how to present using OnAir. Additionally, they allow the team to accommodate any needs you may have for your session, before the "big day".

Poster Presentation:

  • During the poster session you will be able to have live meetings with small groups to explain and answer questions.

Information for your Presentation:

  • Preferably use Google Chrome as web browser, browsers such as Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox are not supported by OnAir and increases the risk of technical errors during your presentation.
  •  Use a stable network. Wired network is always best.
  • Check your audio and video outlets. Wired headphones with a microphone are preferred for an optimal sound.
  • Enter the poster session and your poster 10-15 minutes before the poster session starts. During the poster session you will have a live discussion where attendees can join the discussion by audio. The attendees will see you and your shared screen. You can hear them live if they unmute their microphone.
  • Click on the button “Start presentation” for attendees to join. Accept attendees from the queue (maximum 40 at a time)
  • Click the DND (Do Not Disturb) button, if you want to prevent other attendees from calling or sending messages outside your session time.
  •  Attendees can write questions and discuss among each other in a discussion forum as well.
  • If you want to have a one-to-one meeting at a later time with any of the attendees, ask them to connect in the Meeting Hub to schedule a meeting.
  • Please contact live support if you have any technical problems during the session. See this short video instruction for how poster presentation works in the virtual portal.

Help

If you have technical problems with the portal during the conference, you can try our live support. You will find it as an orange symbol at the top right of the screen.
