SUNY Business Intelligence Advanced Workshop

Course Description

This half day training course is open to people who have attended the introductory SUNY BI training class and who wish to learn how to address issues they have encountered in developing BI queries. The class will include a short review and then launch into more advanced features, with an emphasis on combining multiple queries on one or more BI subject area. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sample ad hoc report to develop during the class. The session will use on accessing the SUNY System Administration Enrollment and Degree data, but the skills learned will apply to other data such as Finance.

This course consists of live instruction via Zoom and hands-on training from System Administration staff.

Dr. Stewart Dutfield

Following an international career spanning four decades in computers and telecommunications, Dr. Stewart Dutfield brings experience in business, technology, project management and leadership to increasing access, completion and success in Higher Education. Prior to his current role as an Analyst at SUNY System Administration, Stewart has served as teaching faculty at Marist College, Program Director at Excelsior College, and Department Chair at Columbia-Greene Community College. He enjoys constantly learning about aspects of campus operations, and strives to make the jobs of people in campus offices easier and more productive.
