Course Description
The SUNY Center for Professional Development's Advanced Project Management course is for SUNY staff who want to deepen their knowledge on several key topics covered in the CPD's 2-day Project Management Fundamentals course. This 2-day (16 hours) course is intended to assist SUNY staff in managing and delivering projects for their institutions. Those who benefit from this course would typically lead a team of functional and technical staff to implement changes to academic programs, staff and student learning programs, software systems and upgrades, facility and classroom modifications, and other campus and SUNY-wide projects.Topics covered in the class include:
Who should attend?
This course is designed for those who previously attended the SUNY CPD’s Project Management Fundamentals class and are looking for a deeper understanding of principal project management concepts and activities. During the registration process, those registering will be asked to verify their PMF credentials before their registration will be accepted.

Christa Glassman joined ITEC in 2010 to establish a PMO (Project Management Office) with a staff of three. Her current position is IT Project Manager. ITEC provides technology infrastructure, help desk, networking, security, operating system, database, application support, enterprise architecture and project management for member campuses who opt-in to ITEC's Tier 2 and Tier 3 services. ITEC hosts Banner SIS (Student Information Systems) for 40 SUNY campuses and DegreeWorks (Degree Planning and Tracking) for all 64 SUNY campuses. Christa earned an MBA in Management Information Systems from SUNY Binghamton and holds technical certificates in project management (PMP) and is fluent in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundations and IT Service Design.
